We are celebrating stories from our guests for our 25th year anniversary. This post is from Jackie Long about how she found romance in the air at OHenry’s Coffee!
My fiancé and I had the second half of our third date at OHenry’s Coffee in March 2017. We had only planned for late lunch and a movie, but neither of us wanted the day to end. I mentioned I wanted to go do some reading at OHenry’s, and Jonathan mentioned he could do his studying there, too. So down the hill we went to the Brookwood location.
Technically a little bit of studying and reading got done, but it wound up becoming a multi-hour conversation spanning everything from high school stories to finances. We only noticed the time when the staff began to clean up for closing. That was the date when we both knew something special was brewing (😉). A few weeks later, once again at OHenry’s, he asked me to be his girlfriend.
OHenry’s Coffee became a standard meeting spot for us in the first months of our relationship, as it was about halfway between my apartment and his, and it’s still our first choice when it comes to a place to do some grad school work or just to spend some spare time chatting over iced coffee. While we can’t always snag “our booth,” the conversations still have a tendency to last until close to closing! Must be something in the air at OHenry’s!
